Corona vaccination may soon include two more vaccines. This week the government may allow two new vaccines for emergency use. One of these is a DNA-based vaccine from Zydus Cadila Company while the other vaccine is Kovavax, which is being produced by Serum Institute of India (EII) based in Pune.
Three vaccines will be discussed in the meeting of the expert committee tomorrow
The three vaccines will be discussed in the meeting of the Expert Committee (SEC) under the Drug Controller General of India to be held on Wednesday. This also includes the vaccine of Biological E company. But two of these vaccines may get emergency permission this week.
Senior members of the committee said that about five weeks ago, Zydus Company had applied for a DNA-based indigenous vaccine, but the results associated with the Phase III trial were not sufficient. Therefore, the company was asked to hand over other documents as well. All the documents have been received from the company last week. His review is almost done.
At the same time, another member said that permission has been sought from the Novavax company in other countries for the vaccine for which the Serum company has applied in India under the name Kovavax.
So far, permission has been given in some countries on the basis of all the three results of this. He told that both these vaccines can be approved for emergency use first. In fact, so far, a single dose vaccine of Sputnik-V, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson has been approved for emergency use in India.
