Liquor bottles recovered from Maharashtra Secretariat.
The eyes rolls on the Secretariat as liquor bottles were found dumped in the duct of the Maharashtra Mantralaya which houses the offices of the Chief Minister, ministers, chief secretary and other bureaucrats. The Opposition has come down heavily on the Shiv Sena-led government over the management of the administration.
While the state government has ordered a probe into the incident, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitesh Narayan Rane has lashed out at the government, taking digs at the “Penguin Gang”.
The shocking incident has raised questions on the ‘loopholes’ in the security system in the state’s corridors of power.

Minister of State for General Administration Dattatray Bharane told that he suspected the role of private contractors and laborers behind the incident, who visit the building for construction work.
“It is my personal opinion that the bottles could have been brought inside the Mantralaya by employees of some private contractors carrying out various works in the premises. I will inform state home minister Dilip Walse Patil about the dumping of liquor bottles on the premises of the state administrative headquarters,” Bharane said.
