For the 24th consecutive day, the prices of petrol and diesel remain unchanged across the four metro cities.
In Delhi, petrol prices at Rs101.84 per litre and diesel rates were unchanged at Rs89.87 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol prices stood at Rs107.83 per litre and diesel is retailed at Rs97.45 per litre, according to the Indian Oil Corporation.
In Kolkata, the price of petrol and diesel were Rs102.08 and Rs93.02, respectively. The petrol price in Chennai at Rs102.49, while diesel also remained unchanged at Rs94.39 per litre.
Meanwhile, crude oil prices were up on Tuesday, as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand. On the MCX, crude oil for the August delivery traded higher by Rs89, or 1.8% at Rs5,043 per barrel in 6,390 lots.
Further, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1.82% to USD 67.69 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 1.42% higher at USD 70.02 per barrel in New York.
