Thane: Man kills neighbour over suspicion of theft, arrested

THANE: A 32-year old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his neighbour to death after the latter suspected him of having stolen his mobile phone, police said.
The incident was reported late on Sunday in the Baba chawl area, Daighar when the victim Azad Ali Khan (35) along with his wife suspected their neighbour Mohd Jamaal Jhan of having flicked his mobile.
The accused got irritated and in a fit of rage picked up a sharp knife and approached the victim and following a heated argument, allegedly slashed his hands and also brutally stabbed him in the chest.
The heavily bleeding victim succumbed to his injuries following which the accused was arrested under sections 302, 504 and 506 by the Daighar police.
