Lloyd Harris sets up rematch with Rafael Nadal

South African tennis ace Lloyd Harris has set up a rematch with Spanish legend Rafael Nadal at the Masters 1000 event in Toronto, Canada.

Harris beat Canadian qualifier Brayden Schnur 6-3, 6-2 in his first round match on Monday, booking a date in the second round with 20-time Grand Slam winner Nadal.

Nadal, who is seeded second in Toronto, had a bye in the first round.

It will be the second consecutive week that Harris faces Nadal, with the South African having stunned the Spaniard 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 in their third round encounter in Washington last week.

Harris lost 6-3, 7-5 to Japan's Kei Nishikori in the quarter-finals of the Washington ATP 500-level event but his run the US capitol was enough to move up one spot to 49th in the latest ATP rankings.

Nadal moved down a spot to No 4 behind Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
