At least two security personnel and nine civilians have been injured in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar. The terrorists carried out this attack in Hari Singh High Street of Srinagar.
On Tuesday afternoon, security forces personnel were doing duty in the Amirakadal area of Srinagar when the terrorists threw a grenade at the post of security forces in the Hari Singh High Street area. However, they missed the target and the grenade exploded on the road ahead of the post. A total of nine civilians and two jawans were injured in this incident.
All the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Simultaneously, the search for the terrorists has been started and the area has been blocked. So far, no trace of terrorists has been found. Security forces are running a search operation to find the terrorists.
It may be noted that the soldiers of Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police are running a continuous campaign against the terrorists. The Indian Army has strictly banned weapons and money coming from PoK to Kashmir. This has increased the anger among the terrorists and their sympathizers, due to which, they are adopting the strategy of fleeing after attacking the soldiers secretly.
