Bhopal, Aug 9 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly was adjourned for the day on Monday – the inaugural day of the Monsoon Session – following tributes to Padma Shri Milkha Singh and other personages who passed away during the intersession period.
The House witnessed an uproar in the context of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People.
Denouncing the pandemonium as an instance of the Congress’ “low-level politics,” Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is the greatest protector of adivasi interests.
Proceedings were adjourned till Tuesday as a mark of respect for the departed.
