    Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.82% in an upbeat market

    The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.82 per cent up at 36103.1.

    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:29AM (IST) on Monday in an upbeat market.

    Punjab National Bank (up 1.52 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.51 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 1.45 per cent), RBLBANK (up 1.3 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 1.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    IDFCBANK (down 0.51 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank (down 0.14 per cent) and Bandhan Bank (down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

    The Nifty Bank index was up 0.82 per cent at 36103.1 at the time of writing this report.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 70.6 points at 16308.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 249.56 points at 54527.28.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, SAIL, NALCO and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of Rolex Rings Ltd., MPS Infotecnics, STEL Holdings, CMI Ltd and Century Extrus hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Chaman Lal Setia, Future Market, Viceroy Hotels, Transwind Infrastruc and Glenmark Life Sciences Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
