German gaming market grows 32% in 2020, smartphones remain most popular platform

Smartphones remained the most popular platform in Germany for playing computer games in 2020, said national trade association "Game", citing statistics from market research company GfK. The German gaming market revenue rose by 32 percent to EUR 8.5 billion last year, when 22.6 million people there played on their smartphone, up from 19.5 million in 2019.
