Cincinnati weather: Expect high temperatures and a chance of showers, thunderstorms this week

Temperatures around Greater Cincinnati will be hot and humid this week with several days of thunderstorms expected. 

Monday will bring a high of 87 degrees and a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 a.m. The National Weather Service said there are showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.

Around Southwest and central Ohio, high temperatures will get into the 90s, and heat indices will push 100 degrees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Cincinnati forecast

Monday: Partly sunny, high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 70%, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 a.m, showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 92 and a chance of showers and thunderstorms. 

Wednesday: Partly sunny, high near 93. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 8 a.m.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 95.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2-4 p.m. Showers likely after 4 p.m.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 92. A chance of showers before 9 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9 a.m. and noon. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. 

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 87.
