Survey crop loss in Kalaburagi: Nirani

KALABURAGI: Minister for large and medium industries Murugesh Nirani has directed the Kalaburagi district administration to conduct a joint survey by agriculture department and revenue department on crop loss due to heavy rain.
After taking charge of Kalaburagi district’s disaster and Covid-19 management, he spoke to the Kalaburagi district officials over video conference and strictly directed them to be active, and to submit the report by the end of August. Officers from agricultural, revenue and horticulture departments should not delay in surveying crop loss in the district, he said.
During the video conference, he told the district officers that optimum utilisation of resources in the district is the first step towards adopting the Israel model of agriculture. “As an experiment, multiple crops will be cultivated in 100 acres of land as per the Israel model,” he added.
