Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Sunday that fully vaccinated citizens of Mumbai can travel in local trains from August 15. He said that the task force meeting is scheduled for Monday and a decision would be taken on granting relaxations to shops, malls, restaurants and places of religious worship. Thackeray warned that a lockdown shall be imposed if the state witnesses a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases. He said that the state has made preparations ahead of the third wave of Covid-19.
