Our handloom workers receive particular appreciation at the national level, he remarked during a celebration of National Handloom Day at People's Plaza in Hyderabad.

The government is attempting to resuscitate the handloom sector, according to KT Rama Rao, by giving labour that pays between Rs 12,000 and Rs 15,000 per month. The minister was addressing at a state-wide display of handloom workers and weavers. According to KTR, the government provides required assistance to handloom workers. He also stated that he would want to meet with the residents of the state to discuss ways to improve things. The minister stated that designs such as double ikkat, jari, Gollabhama of Sidhipet, and Armur silk are popular in the open market for the public, and urged them to buy handloom clothing.

According to KTR, the government has improved marketing facilities for handloom items through e-commerce to promote sales.  He went on to say that the government has started selling handloom items through e-commerce to promote the employees. For the past four years, handloom items have been sold on the golconda site.

In addition to holding fashion shows, the telangana government has used technology to appeal to the market and assist future generations in coming up with new styles and patterns of clothing.

Under Cheneta Mitra, the government also provides a 50% subsidy to handloom workers on the materials used in fabric manufacturing.
The beneficiaries of the Chenetha Cheyuth programme received checks worth Rs 30 crore from the minister. The government boosted funding for the handloom sector from Rs 70 crore in 2014 to Rs 1,200 crore in 2015. The government has been honouring the top handloom workers with state prizes since 2018, and this year it awarded Rs 25,000 to 31 of them.

He accepted a vow with others in attendance to wear handloom garments and to encourage others to do the same.
