HT: BARCELONA 1-0 JUVENTUS
Barcelona have given their fans something to smile about following an impressive first-half performance against Juventus.
Barca opened the scoring after just three minutes during a counter-attack when Yusuf Demir set Memphis Depay up in front of Wojciech Szczesny, whom the Netherlands international beat with ease.
The Blaugrana dominated throughout the first half and had two goals disallowed.
The first was on 20 minutes when Memphis broke inside the area and passed to Antoine Griezmann, who was slightly ahead when he fired the first shot.
Szczesny saved and Demir scored on the rebound but the goal didn’t count.
And then Griezmann found Martin Braithwaite inside the area and the Denmark international delivered a shot from an offside position that was saved by the Juve goalkeeper.
The France international got the rebound and sent the ball to the back of the net but the linesman’s flag was up.
Juventus came close to an equaliser in the 43rd minute when Juan Cuadrado set Alvaro Morata up in front of Neto but the Barcelona goalkeeper denied the Spain international with a fine save
