Welsh actor Michael Sheen is the fan favourite to replace Jodie Whittaker as the next Doctor Who.
The Quiz star, 52, who has also achieved big screen success in Frost/Nixon and Twilight, picked up 20% in a survey of 10,000 Whovians by radiotimes.com.
BAFTA host 44-year-old Richard Ayoade came in second place with 15% and Holby City’s Jo Martin – who played a forgotten incarnation of the Doctor in series 12 – picked up 11%.
Sherlock and Fleabag’s Andrew Scott came fourth with 7% and Merlin’s Colin Morgan landing 6%.
Last week show runner Chris Chibnall, 51, revealed he and Jodie, 39, had made a secret pact to complete three series’ before going out on a high.

Bookmakers are offering odds on It’s A Sin star Olly Alexander, 31, landing the part along with I May Destroy You’s Michaela Coel, 33.
