The Weeknd cuts a low-key figure as he leaves restaurant in Santa Monica - after his new music video was PULLED from IMAX theaters because it might 'cause epileptic seizures'

The Weeknd was seen stepping out for dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Saturday - after his new music video was pulled from IMAX theaters over seizure fears.

The singer, 31, cut a low-key figure in a grey jacket worn over a black tee as he strolled out of the celeb hotspot.

He paired this with black trousers and leather shoes to complete his dapper look.

The Starboy hitmaker wore a black face mask as he observed COVID-19 precautions while stepping out.

The outing comes after the star's new music video Take My Breath was reportedly pulled from IMAX theaters at the last minute over concerns of how the 'intense strobe lighting' could cause seizures in epileptics.

The Canadian crooner took to Twitter on Wednesday to confirm Variety's report that the video was supposed to premiere Thursday before screenings of The Suicide Squad.

The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) has only teased a few images and footage from the video including a clip called 'The Dawn is Coming,' which sounds like the song's intro.
