Charlize Theron celebrates 46th birthday with an 80s prom murder mystery party

One of Charlize Theron's birthday dreams has come true.

On Saturday, the Monster actor turned 46 and celebrated the special day with an 80s prom murder mystery party on a yacht.

Charlize shared pictures of the day on Instagram; in one of them, she is wearing a pink T-shirt with the word birthday girl on it.

Alongside the photos, she wrote: "Well I never got to go to prom, but this year for my bday my friends decided to change that. I love these humans more than words can describe. Only they could know that an 80s prom murder mystery party on a boat is my literal dream birthday. What a family, what a night."
