Swashthya Swayam sewak Prashiksh- a training programme for district level covid volunteers
BHOPAL: The BJP will form the biggest health force in the country to face pandemic like Covid-19. The party organised a training programme for district level health volunteers at the party's state head office on Sunday who will work to save previous life and face the possible third wave of Covid-19 in the state.
"The way party workers displayed dedication and commitment during the Covid-19 pandemic, this has set an example in the world. Congress went into lockdown during the Corona period and some opposition parties went into exile, but BJP workers risked their lives and helped the public. In view of the possible third wave of corona in the country, BJP will create the largest health force of health volunteers. Two trained workers will be posted at each booth," said BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh and in-charge of the campaign.
Taking a dig at the Congress, he said the old party has no issue to raise before the public. "Rahul Gandhi asks where the vaccine is. I want to tell him that this is Narendra Modi's government and it knows how to work. So far more than 50 crore people have been vaccinated in the country. In the current month, the government has set a target of 25 crore vaccinations. Similarly 28 crore vaccines will be administered from October, 28.5 crore in November and 285 crore in December. By December 31, 135 crore vaccines will reach health centers," he said.
During the camp, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state party chief Vishnu Dutt Sahrma and organising general secretary Suhas Bhagat were present among others. Chief minister Chouhan said that BJP is creating new paradigms in the field of social service.
"BJP is not only a medium to get power, but it is also an effective tool of social service. Our workers served the people during the corona pandemic. Food, ration, medicines and footpads were also distributed. During Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, ration was distributed to 1.5 lakh families on August 7 in the state. Our workers have an important role to play during the possible third wave of Covid-19," he said.
Chouhan said that the government was trying its best to ensure that the third wave never arrives. "BJP workers were being trained about prevention and control of corona. These workers will protect the health of the public. We have served the public in the first, second wave of corona and severe floods, now we will stop the third wave of corona and if it comes, we will also fight it," he said.
Addressing the trainees, party's state chief Sharma said the trained health volunteers will be deployed in each district, mandal and booth level. "There will be training in the district for this campaign to reach every booth. With the spirit of social cause, the health volunteers will play an important role in the service of humanity and take the spirit of the party to every booth. 1.52 lakh trained workers will assist the government's medical team at each booth in the state after the training," said Sharma.
