MCTA appeals to stay transfer order

Imphal, August 07 2021: The Manipur College Teachers' Association (MCTA) has appealed the concerned authority to revoke the transfer order of Dr N Somorendro Singh, Assistant Professor, Manipur College.

In a statement issued today, MCTA said as no replacement has been assigned for Dr N Somorendro, who has been transferred to Tamenglong, the order does not hold any rational reasoning and given the trying times presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the order is very surprising.

The statement added that he is also heading the IQAC team of Manipur College and currently online assessment under the instructions of MU is also being carried out.
