Six kittens and two cats have died in a suspicious house fire in a suburb near Penrith.
The unoccupied house on Martley Way in Cranebrook, was found well alight at about 9pm on Friday August 6.
Neighbouring residents were evacuated from the area and luckily nobody was injured.

Police arrived at the scene at about 9pm on August 6 and the fire was extinguished and the house was completely destroyed
While firefighters extinguished the blaze, the house was completely destroyed, police said on Saturday.
A search of the house found the dead animals.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and is being treated as suspicious.
