A city residents’ welfare association has been showing the way in managing garbage including e-waste. The Kasturba Nagar Association (ROKA) in Adyar began source segregation of household solid waste in 2018 and by 2019 started sending 1.5 tonnes of wet waste generated to micro composting centres.
