Whenever automation increases in the world, then jobs are threatened. In the current era, there is a similar fear among people regarding artificial intelligence (AI). But experts say that new technology does pose a threat to jobs, but it also opens up new employment opportunities.

This is the reason that now such an AI-based system has been created, which can help in choosing new careers. It has been prepared by researchers from Australia. In the experiments conducted so far, 76 percent accuracy has been seen.

Advice based on future changes: This system suggests choosing a career that has a higher chance of success. After discovering the similarity in the skills, the profession for the employee can be estimated on the basis of the new skill.

Gives suggestions by measuring new and old skills

The AI system suggests career selections by measuring the similarities between new and old skills. For example, an accountant may go for a financial analyst, as the skills required in both these jobs are similar. But a speech therapist will find it difficult to learn the skills of a financial analyst.

Analysis of more than 80 lakh jobs

Researchers Nick Dawson, Marianne Andrei Rijou from the University of Technology Sydney, and Mary Ann Williams of the University of South Wales have created this system to suggest career changes.

Using machine learning, 8 million online job advertisements have been analyzed to predict what will be the next successful move for employees. The information is published in PLOS One.
