DIMAPUR, Aug 6: In a joint operation, security forces and police apprehended a cadre of Nikki Sumi group of NSCN (K) at Ghaspani in Dimapur district on August 4, a defence release said on Friday. Based on a specific input, an operation was launched in the area and the cadre was apprehended. One .22 pistol was recovered from him, the release said.

The cadre along with the recovered arms was handed over to Medziphema police.

In another incident, security forces in a joint operation with the police apprehended one cadre and one overground worker of DNLA in Super Market here on August 3, another defence release said. One gram of Sunflower drug was recovered from them. They were handed over to East Police station, Dimapur.
