As the Tokyo Olympics 2020 is going on in full swing, the Indian Women Hockey Team staged an impeccable performance in the games and created history by storming into the semis for the first time ever but unfortunately lost to Argentina in that game. Post this loss, it was reported that two men hurled casteist remarks against the family of player Vandana Katariya who was part of India's women's hockey team outside her residence in Haridwar. After coming across the news, actor Ayushmann Khurrana has now condemned the incident and come out in support of the player. He dropped Vandana's picture on his Instagram handle and wrote 'Hurling casteist slurs on someone who has given her all for the nation is the worst form of disrespect. This has to STOP NOW!" alongside the hashtag '#Support'. Well, it has been reported that a couple of people engaged in celebrating and bursting crackers at a distance from the house of hockey player Vandana, a resident of Roshnabad in Haridwar district, on Wednesday after the Indian team lost the semi-final match against Argentina.
