19-year-old assaults girl, thrashes her mother, arrested

Noida: A 19-year-old youth who allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl, slapped her mother and abused her when the woman confronted him in his house on Wednesday. He has been arrested.
Shameem had been stalking the Class VIII girl for the past few months and her mother, who works as a domestic staff in Sector 29, had asked him not to disturb the child, police said.
The woman and her daughter stay in her employer’s house and Shameem’s house is in Sector 37. The girl’s father passed away a few years ago.
Recently, the youth had allegedly touched the girl inappropriately. When the child’s mother got to know about the incident, she went to his house and spoke to his parents.
“The woman went to Shameem’s house several times with the same complaint and his parents had also asked him not to misbehave with the girl. But on Wednesday, when the girl’s mother went to the youth’s house again, he allegedly slapped her repeatedly and abused her,” a police officer said, adding that he also pushed the woman out of the house.
The accused youth allegedly told the girl’s mother that “he would elope with the child and she will not be able to do anything about it”.
An FIR has been lodged against Shameem under IPC sections 354 (outraging modesty of woman), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt and 504 (intentional insult to break the public peace) and sections 7/8 of the POCSO Act.
Sector 20 SHO Munish Chauhan said: “The youth has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.”
