Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 51.41 crore), Sun Tech Over (numbers of share traded: 2.80 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 2.05 crore), SBI Life (numbers of share traded: 1.93 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 1.60 crore), Reliance Comm (numbers of share traded: 1.25 crore), JCT Ltd (numbers of share traded: 1.05 crore), IDFC First Bank (numbers of share traded: 1.04 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 0.87 crore) and BHEL (numbers of share traded: 0.69 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 35.8 points up at 16294.6, while BSE Sensex ended up 123.07 points at 54492.84.

On the other hand, State Bank of India (down 3.30 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 2.24 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 1.74 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd. (down 1.71 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (down 1.36 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
