Noble Biomaterials, US-based creator of advanced antimicrobial systems, has announced that the Ionic+ fabric treatment is now the sole antimicrobial for Flylow Gear, American creators of outerwear and apparel. Ionic+ antimicrobial treatments for yarn and fabric uses silver ion technology to inhibit growth of microbes and odour-causing bacteria on fabric.

In Spring of 2021, Noble Biomaterials launched Ionic+ Durable, a self-cleaning, silver-based antimicrobial treatment that fights bacteria and other microbes that accumulate on the surface of fabrics. Less odour-causing bacteria allows active users to wash less and extend the life of products by reducing the number of times garments need to be washed.

Ionic+ has become widely adopted in the outdoor, sport and athleisure markets, while its proliferation continues in healthcare and medical applications.

Flylow’s move to Ionic+ comes ahead of Summer Outdoor Retailer and will be used in a selection of men’s and women’s apparel that include the Shaw, Garret, Bandit, Honey Henley, Moonlight, Jessi, Hawkins, Nash, Lopez Polo and Jana T lines as well as the all-new Nash ¾.

"We design our gear for long days outdoors, whether that's sitting by the river or a six-hour mountain-bike epic," says Flylow president and co-founder Dan Abrams. "Including Ionic+ in our apparel means you can do that day-in and day-out without a load of laundry in between, saving time and water."

The new Flylow Gear with Ionic+ will be available in Spring ’22.

Noble Biomaterials is a registered FDA medical device facility, an essential sole-source technology supplier of medical components to the US military, and a US EPA–registered antimicrobial manufacturer.
