New designer launches that need to be on your radar this month

From cult international labels in India to the latest in jewellery, here’s a round-up of all the launches that you need to know about in August

August Launches Outhouse
Le Lien x Furbie by Outhouse

The luxury accessory label’s latest collection ‘Le Lien x Furbie’ is steeped in ’90s nostalgia. The designer sisters behind the brand, Kaabia and Sasha Grewal, sought inspiration from their yesteryear favourites during a trip to their childhood home in Chandigarh. “Our mood board was replete with our fondest memories—a mix of photographs, music and toys. We wanted to bring back joy, innocence and free-spiritedness with this launch,” explains co-founder Kaabia. The result is an eclectic and playful line of nano bags and multipurpose lanyards using coloured beads, pearls and classic metals. The monogrammed Furbie bag, crafted from vegan patent leather, features a luxe faux-fur top handle. The lanyards, which can be used as AirPod grips, optical chains, stackable necklaces and mask chains, are also designed to be charm chains for the bags. “Versatility was our main focus. We wanted to make cross-functional and transitional pieces that can be worn in multiple ways,” concludes Sasha.

Pause gets a facelift

When clothing label Pause launched in 2016, it became an instant favourite for its easy-to-wear silhouettes made for the urban Indian aesthete. Now it is a part of Tomorrowland Apparel, which is also behind Bombay Shirt Company. “We're trying to build a platform for made-to-order clothes with great quality and craftsmanship. Our pieces must be made responsibly and should be personalised for the wearer. Led by Neha Modi, Pause epitomises these very values that we stand for," says Akshay Narvekar, CEO and founder of Bombay Shirt Company. What can one expect from Pause 2.0?
