MYSURU: The Karnataka Progressive Organization leader R Laxman on Wednesday accused Mysuru City Corporation of negligence for failing to provid a permanent job to deceased pourakarmika SR Srinivas’s wife. He said the civic body has not released compensation to the family even a year after his death. Laxman said Srinivas had worked for more than 11 years on a contract basis and died of heart attack while on duty. Srinivas has three minor daughters. As the deceased pourakarmika's wife Pushpa has completed pre-university education, she was promised a job. He demanded that the government provide a suitable permanent job to Puspha and release Rs 10 lakh compensation to the family. He said he along with women’s organisations would protest to ensure a job for Pushpa.
