Why China's share in global apparel exports will drop this year?

China's share in the global apparel exports market went down from 35.15 per cent in 2016 to 29.91 per cent in the first half of 2021. It is expected to decline further in the second half of 2021 to 27.61 per cent. Apparel exports from China amounted to $120.70 billion in 2020 due to the pandemic and are expected to drop to $107.73 billion in 2021.
