After over half a year, Huawei has finally made the Nova 8 smartphone available globally. It is now available for purchase in Russia which is the only country other than China to get the phone for the time being. There is only one big difference between the Chinese and global versions of the phone are in the processor choice.

The Huawei Nova 8 sports a 6.57-inch Full HD+ (2676 x 1236 pixels) OLED display with DCI-P3 wide color gamut support. The panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. There is a punch-hole on the top left corner that houses a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Under the hood, it has the HiSilicon Kirin 820E processor which is a mid-range offering. The phone is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. There is no microSD card support available with the smartphone.

The quad-camera setup on the back panel features a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture. a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The camera setup is capable of delivering up to 10X digital zoom.

The whole package is powered by a 3,800mAh battery with support for 66W SuperCharge fast charging. It will run EMUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box. Other noteworthy features include an under-display fingerprint scanner, dual-band WiFi support, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC connectivity.
