Indian Men's Team win over Germany to clinch Bronze at the Tokyo Olympics, thereby ending the long 41-year-wait for a podium finish, will be etched in the memory of every Indian, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today as he led the nation in congratulating the Hockey team over the historic win. "With this feat, they have captured the imagination of the entire nation, especially our youth," he said.

The last time India had won a medal a medal in hockey was during the 1980 Moscow Games where they got the gold. Simranjeet Singh scored a brace while Hardik Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh also got their names on the scoresheet.
