Nagpur: Divisional commissioner Prajakta Lavangare Verma and collector R Vimala met the 16-year-old gang rape victim and her family members at the government shelter home where she is currently lodged. On Thursday, state government is set to extend her compensation of Rs4.25 lakh out of total Rs8.50 lakh. The minor had left home after a quarrel last week and was raped by six men on two occasions. Police have already arrested five of them while a couple of railway cookies suspected to be involved in the case are still at large. A team of Nagpur police will soon leave for Rajasthan and other places to nab them. The two senior IAS officers also assured government support for all the medical treatment and rehabilitation of the victim. The girl was taken to Nagpur railway station by two Good Samaritans after they had found her in trauma following the night-long exploitation. She was rescued by Government Railway Police (GRP) and handed over to city police.
