Patna, Aug 3 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party (Chirag Faction) on Tuesday handed over a memorandum to Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan over the deteriorating law and order of the state.
LJP national president of the faction, Chirag Paswan, MP from and its state president Raju Tiwari led a delegation to the Governor and handed over the memorandum stating that the state was witnessing abduction, murder, extortion and other crimes every day. In the memorandum, they said that the criminals were roaming fearlessly in the state where public representatives and Dalits were killed in large numbers recently.
The memorandum read that the public representatives were being targeted in view of the coming Panchayat election. It is stated that LJP State president of scheduled caste cell Anil Oraon was abducted and murdered.
The mayor of Katihar Shivraj Paswan was shot dead by the criminals recently. Earlier the mayor of Katihar Bharat Bhushan Paswan was also murdered. The crime has increased to such an extent that there was no rule of law in the state and the people were suffering, added the memorandum.
