    Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

    In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.

    NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 546.41 points up at 54369.77 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

    On the BSE, Tarini International (down 19.82 per cent), Alankit (down 19.46 per cent), Riba Textiles (down 18.68 per cent), Vodafone Idea (down 18.51 per cent) and Samkrg Pistons (down 17.47 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

    In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.

    The index closed 128.05 points up at 16258.8.

    On the BSE, Vodafone Idea, Ishaan Infrastru, Abans Enterprises, Bloom Ind and Rahul Merc hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Advance Lifestyles Ltd., Tirupati Sarjan, Anuroop Packaging Lt, Conart Engg and IIFL Wealth Mgmt touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
