Returning from a Hiatus: Low Energy

    Hey guys,

I’m sure a lot of you are going through this so I’d like to here your thoughts/advice.

A few years back I was what you might call an intermediate lifter. I was fairly lean at 160 lbs at 5’7. I was doing 2 plates on bench, didn’t even touch a dumbell if it was less than 70. DL was almost 4 plates. Admittedly I never really squatted because of poor mobility with wrists, shoulders, ankles but I was maxing leg press with 6 plates each leg. Don’t get me wrong I still had ways to go but I felt like I was at the cusp of greatness.

Then corona came and I had to lock myself up for two years until I moved out this year. I’ve been trying to go back to the gym but it’s been really hard. I’m now 185 with a gut. 2 hours in the gym used to be not enough but now I can’t last 30 mins without feeling tired. I barely get a pump, just tiredness.

I sleep 7-8 hours consistently and then some when I can and throughout the whole day I feel tired. I can’t even begin to describe how lethargic I feel even as I’m trying to bring that energy back into my life. Any tips?

Sounds like you're just overweight and out of shape, and haven't been active in a while. Assuming your nutrition is in order and you know caffeine exists, just keep working out and maybe do some cardio on your off days.
