Kolkata, Aug 4 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday congratulated
Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain for winning the Bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics.
Twenty-three-year-old Lovlina Borgohain ( 69kg) of Assam made India proud for winning the
Bronze medal on his appearance in Olympics, though she was defeated in the semifinal bout to
World champion Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey on points ( 5-0) on Wednesday.
" Heartiest congratulations to Lovlina Borgohain for winning the bronze medal at Olympics
2020. Your incredible effort has made our country proud! Wishing you a very bright future ahead,"
said Ms Banerjee
