Sara Bareilles' 'Little Voice' Series Has Been Canceled by Apple TV+ After One Season
The Apple TV+ series Little Voice, which was co-created by Sara Bareilles, has reportedly been canceled after just one season.
The news was buried in a Hollywood Reporter article about HBO Max passing on the upcoming Overlook series from J.J. Abrams. For those who don’t know, Abrams‘ production company Bad Robot was an executive producer on Little Voice.
The nine-episode first season of Little Voice premiered back in July 2020. The series followed Bess King (Brittany O’Grady), a uniquely talented performer struggling to fulfill her dreams while navigating rejection, love and complicated family issues. Also starring in the series were Sean Teale, Colton Ryan, and Shalini Bathina. In the season one finale, Sara made a cameo appearance as herself!
Brittany has been having big success following the release of the series. Her new HBO show The White Lotus is currently getting great reviews and she will star in the upcoming ABC series Epic, from the creators of Once Upon a Time.
Another Apple TV+ series was just announced to be getting a second season.
