On Tuesday, chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao discussed the supreme Court's mediation suggestion with senior officials from the CMO and irrigation authorities. He decided to make a decision after witnessing how andhra pradesh reacted and the criteria that telangana had to impose in order to resolve the matter through negotiations.

The state withdrew its supreme court suit in June, according to telangana chief minister KCR. But in July, andhra pradesh filed a fresh petition. He described the case as a roadblock to a peaceful resolution. Since 2015, the telangana government has had pending litigation over the krishna issue.

The state of andhra pradesh has filed a new case in the supreme court about mediation. According to reports, the chief minister instructed authorities that they should come forth with a solution. The matter will be heard again on Wednesday, after which the court will make a decision on how to continue.
