Kutch police arrest two for duping people

RAJKOT: Kutch police arrested two persons for duping people in various parts of Gujarat by promising them to help in getting government jobs in various departments.
These two people have admitted to have cheated four people to the tune of Rs 28 lakh in the recent past. These people also forged documents to win the trust of their victims.
A Gandhidham based youth Rushiraj Raval had approached Gandhidham A division police station with the complaint that he was promised to clear the exam of electricity assistant engineer and after that he would get a government job.
The accused had demanded Rs 20 lakh in exchange of helping him to get a government job out of which Raval had paid Rs 10 lakh.
The police based on this complaint using human source and technical surveillance found Ramesh Parmar (56) a resident of Ahmedabad and Rajesh Thakor (36) a resident of Mehsana.
They had admitted duping persons under the guidance of one Bharat Trivedi, a resident of state capital Gandhinagar who is still at large.
According to police both the accused during interrogation admitted to have duped various persons with the same modus operandi.
Rajendra Patel of Mehsana was duped of Rs 5 lakh by promising to get a job as an education officer.
Pachan Jadav of Surendrangar was cheated of Rs 8 lakh for getting a job in Banas dairy and Dhiren Trivedi a resident of Ahmedabad was duped of Rs 5 lakh by promising to get a job in Metro train project as a junior scientist.
The accused had also forged call letters and other documents to win the trust of victims.
