22-yr-old youth commits suicide in Sangli

Sangli, Aug 4 (UNI) Depressed over incurring heavy losses in recent floods, a 22-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in cattle enclosure at Nagthane village in Palus tehsil of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased, Nilesh Balkrushna Pawar, resident of Nagthane village, hanged himself with a rope in cattle enclosure situated in his farm, police said.
Since last few days he was disturbed because his sugarcane field was totally submerged in the floods and also his domestic animals were washed away in flood waters.
The Bhilvadi police are carrying out further investigation into the incident, sources added.
