NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 127.25 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 16.03 crore), SBI (numbers of share traded: 12.98 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 9.31 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 7.96 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 7.01 crore), Bank of Baroda (numbers of share traded: 6.51 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 6.10 crore), Trident Ltd (numbers of share traded: 5.91 crore) and Tata Steel BSL (numbers of share traded: 4.28 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 128.05 points up at 16258.8, while BSE Sensex ended up 546.41 points at 54369.77.
On the other hand, Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 2.36 per cent), Titan Company Ltd. (down 2.21 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd. (down 1.83 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 1.47 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 1.36 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
