Suspected ISIS links : NIA raid on residence of son of Ullal’s ex-MLA Idinabba

Mangaluru, Aug 4 (UNI) A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials has raided the residence of the son of Ullal’s former MLA B M Idinabba on Wedensday. .

Police sources said the raid took place in the house of B M Basha, the son of Idinabba. Sources said the raid was in the backdrop of allegations of links with ISIS militants of Syria. The NIA team comprising around 25 officials is accompanied by local police personnel. Basha has been into real estate business in Mangaluru.

Police remained tight-lipped about NIA's on going search and raid operation at Pasha's house. A dozen policemen were posted at the house of Basha to prevent any untoward incident.

Recalling that one of Idinabba’s daughter was missing from Kerala about ten years ago and it was suspected that she had joined ISIS.

Sources said today’s raid was following information about suspected ISIS links and contacts with some militants from Jammu and Kashmir.
