Steenberg police have appealed for help to identify the body of a man who was found murdered in Cadross Street in Retreat, Cape Town.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi said the body was discovered on 26 July.

"The deceased is described as approximately 1.6 metres tall and [is] believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s, with no tattoos or any distinguishing marks on his body," Swartbooi added.

According to police, at the time of the man's death he was wearing blue overall pants, a grey jacket, blue Nike shoes and a red cap.
