Possible Past Knee Injury - Leg Press

My right knee has never felt as strong as my left, but I can’t remember ever injuring it either. I did play a lot of sports through my youth including high school baseball and football which could have caused the problem. I am now noticing I favor my left leg and my left leg seems to be getting bigger than my right leg. When I try to favor my right leg on leg press I feel a slight uncomfortable feeling in my right knee. Nothing I can’t push through but it would make sense as to why I naturally favor my left leg.

I am considering a compression sleeve for leg days? Does anyone have a better suggestion? Is there anything better to use to help my push my right leg through leg days?

    Thank you all,
    Nick

Could be worth seeing a doctor or PT about. Favoring one leg more than the other is pretty normal, but if you're getting discomfort in your knee you should try to get to the root of that problem before slapping a sleeve on it and calling it a day.

Yes i agree with the above, see a medical professional first for a proper diagnosis.
You may want to do more unilateral leg work like lunges, split squats, ect.
Maybe even focus on just the weaker leg.
    Good luck.

I appreciate both of your responses, and agree. I will set up a appt. I’ve just always felt knee doctors are quick to the draw with surgeries and everything else.
The discomfort I feel isn’t a pain. It’s more the knee itself feels much weaker then the left side. Like it feels like it could give out. Almost like a anxiety feeling. Wondering if maybe I should drop the weight and slowly work my right side and hopefully get it stronger
