THANE: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has continued its action against the illegal constructions in the city as it demolished 10 more structures on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Maharashtra cabinet minister and NCP leader Jitendra Awhad also urged the civic body to order an audit for illegal buildings in elite areas like Naupada and Vartaknagar.
The civic body said that during the action, the construction of stilt plus five-storey illegal building in Kasarvadavli area under Majiwada-Manpada ward was demolished.
The action was also taken on a five-story structure of the illegal building in Wagbhil village.
In Balkum pada no 1, the fifth and sixth-floor slabs of the stilt plus six-storey building were demolished, and another five-storey building was also demolished.
In Diva ward, a ground-plus two-storey structure was demolished on the DP road, and two other structures in Saabe village.
The illegal structure was demolished by the civic body.

In Naupada ward, 11 doors and five shutters of a shop of the three-storey Panchali building, which was considered dangerous, were demolished.
Similar action was taken on a room in chawl no 8 at Koliwada in the Kopri area.
