2021 Tata Tiago NRG Facelift: All You Need To Know

Tata Motors has launched the updated 2021 Tata Tiago NRG in India. It's the more rugged, crossover-ish version of the popular Tiago hatchback, thus comes with new styling and several new features, among other updates. Unlike the pre-facelift version of the Tata Tiago NRG, this particular version is offered in only one fully loaded trim, offered in both manual and AMT options, priced at ₹ 6.57 lakh and ₹ 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The Tata Tiago NRG comes with aggressive front and rear bumpers, which the company calls armoured cladding

1. The Tata Tiago NRG is touted as an 'Urban Toughroader,' and to match that name, the company has given the car a much more rugged look compared to the older Tiago NRG. This includes aggressive front and rear bumpers, which the company calls armoured cladding, faux silver skid plates, wheel arch and side body cladding, and black roof rails.
2. As for new exterior features, the car comes with 15-inch Dual-Tone Hyperstyle Wheels, a new black roof, black ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and auto fold function, muscular tailgate finish with black cladding, housing the Tiago and NRG logos.

3. As the car is based on the Tiago, several visual elements have been retained like the bold grille with tri-arrow design, flanked by a set of wraparound halogen headlamps, with end-to-end chrome inserts adding a premium touch to the car. The car also gets new foglamps, and blacked out C-pillar, however, the taillamps remain unchanged.
4. The Tata Tiago NRG is offered in four body colour options - Foresta Green, Fire Red, Snow White, and Cloudy Grey. All four colours come with a black roof and black ORVMs as standard. The car offers a ground clearance of 181 mm, which is marginally higher than the 170 mm on the Tiago.

5. The cabin of the Tiago NRG comes with all-new Charcoal Black interiors, new fabric upholstery with Deco stitch, and body-coloured bezels around the side air vents and gear lever surround. In terms of features, you get push-button start, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment by Harman, with 4 Speakers & 4 Tweeters, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted controls, and a fully digital instrument cluster.

6. In terms of safety features, the car comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control, rear camera with dynamic guidelines, rear parking sensors, rear defogger, keyless entry, front seatbelt reminder, follow-me-home headlamps, high-speed alert and day & night inside rearview mirror.
7. Under the hood, the Tata Tiago NRG comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, borrowed from the Tiago. The motor develops 84 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque, and it's paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional AMT unit.
