Teachers will assess the learning of the students during the pandemic and focus on the fields requiring more attention, said officials.
MOHALI: After four months of closure, schools reopened for all classes here on Monday. District education officer (DEO) Baljinder Singh said 30% to 35% attendance was reported in the schools. “We checked whether teachers have submitted their vaccination certificates with schools or not. Everything was found satisfactory. We believe the attendance will increase with passage of time.” He said timings will remain from 8 am to 2 pm and parents will have to provide written consent before sending their children to schools. Primary and secondary wings started functioning, while classes X to XII had already been functioning from July 26. Teachers will assess the learning of the students during the pandemic and focus on the fields requiring more attention, said officials. Reopening of schools will also provide a chance to the schools and teachers to teach practical subjects, they added.
