Bhopal, Aug 2 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Monday that while amending laws, a provision shall be incorporated for stringent punishment against those engaged in hooch manufacture and smuggling.
“Endeavours should be made in a concerted manner to check such intoxicants being brought from neighbouring states, with whom the issue must be discussed. Tankers should have e-lock systems. If any distillery in our state is found involved in unauthorised transportation of alcohol, it must be shut down immediately. Holograms will be affixed on bottles. A special team should investigate the roots of this menace,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while addressing a meeting at Mantralaya.
Expressing concern over children’s spiralling addiction to online games resulting in adverse consequences, the veteran leader directed that a monitoring mechanism be put in place.
