Cooperators across the nation have hailed PV Sindhu for creating history when she defeated China’s He Bing Jiao to become the first Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals.

Congratulating her, IFFCO MD tweeted, “Heartiest Congratulations to @Pvsindhu1 for winning the #Bronze medal in @Tokyo2020. Everyone in #India is so proud of your achievement. Only Indian to bring 2 medals in #Olympics. Congratulations @ianuragthakur & team”.

Besides, Amul posted a congratulatory message for the ace Indian shuttler in typical Amul style. In a tweet, Amul shared an image of PV Sindhu with her bronze medal next to one of India’s most loved ad icons – the Amul girl.

The National Youth Cooperative Society also congratulated her. They wrote, ” PV Sindhu beat He Bing Jiao in straight games to clinch the women’s singles bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Sindhu won the match 21-13, 21-15 in a match that lasted 53 minutes. NYCS family congratulates PV Sindhu”.

Sindhu is the first Indian woman to clinch back-to-back medals at the Olympics.
